PENDULUM COMPANY LIMITED carried out a multi-phase modernization project to strengthen the organization's cybersecurity and IT infrastructure. The project was implemented over two consecutive years to improve network security, centralized management, business continuity, and overall IT operations.
Project 2023: Cyber Security and Network Infrastructure Modernization
In response to the increasing threat of ransomware attacks, SyncTech redesigned the organization's network infrastructure and deployed a Fortinet Next-Generation Firewall solution. Prior to this project, the organization did not have a dedicated enterprise firewall protecting its network.
The headquarters was equipped with two FortiGate 200F appliances configured in High Availability (HA) to maximize service availability and minimize downtime. The branch office was deployed with a FortiGate 61F, while Load Balancing, Site-to-Site VPN, and comprehensive Security Policies were implemented to provide secure connectivity between the headquarters and branch office.
The project also included a new enterprise wireless infrastructure using Ubiquiti Access Points to improve wireless coverage and network performance. In addition, a Synology DiskStation DS923+ was deployed as the organization's backup platform to protect business-critical data. SyncTech also provided IT Outsourcing services, including Windows deployment and endpoint configuration based on the organization's security policies.
Project 2024: Server Infrastructure and Identity Management
Following the successful implementation of the 2023 project, the organization continued its infrastructure modernization by deploying a high-performance Dell PowerEdge Server (CTO) to support its core business systems.
The project included the implementation of Microsoft Active Directory for centralized identity and access management, together with a File Server for centralized file sharing across the organization.
To enhance business continuity and data protection, Veeam Backup & Replication was implemented to protect the server infrastructure and business-critical data. SyncTech also migrated user profiles from Local User accounts to Active Directory User accounts, enabling centralized authentication, policy enforcement, and simplified IT administration.
Building a Secure and Scalable IT Infrastructure
Across both project phases, the organization established an integrated IT infrastructure covering cybersecurity, enterprise networking, identity management, server infrastructure, backup, and endpoint management. The solution provides centralized administration, improved operational efficiency, and a scalable foundation that supports future business growth while strengthening the organization's overall cybersecurity posture.
