Synology has announced the launch of two new Rackmount Storage models: the RS826RP+ and RS826+. These compact 1U 4-bay NAS devices are designed to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) manage and protect data efficiently, especially for branch offices and remote work environments.
🚀 Superior Performance
Both models are powered by a 4-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor, delivering sequential read/write speeds exceeding 2,000/1,300 MB/s. This significantly accelerates file sharing, data synchronization, and backup processes between branches and remote teams.
🔗 Connectivity and Flexibility
The units come with four 1GbE ports and a PCIe 3.0 slot for further expansion, allowing for upgrades to 10GbE or 25GbE connectivity in the future. They also support the installation of Synology M.2 SSDs via an adapter card for SSD Caching, reducing latency and boosting access speeds for frequently used data.

The RS826RP+ and RS826+ are designed with reliability and expandability in mind. The number of drive bays can be increased from 4 to 8 by connecting to the new Synology RX426 Expansion Unit, ensuring maximum operational continuity. The RS826RP+ model comes with dual power supplies to prevent system downtime in case of a power source failure. Both models also feature hot-swappable drive bays, allowing for maintenance without interrupting system operations.

Both devices run on the DiskStation Manager (DSM) operating system, which offers a variety of business tools such as Synology Drive, transforming the NAS into a private cloud; Synology Virtual Machine Manager and Container Manager for virtualization and container deployment; and Synology Tiering, which automatically enhances storage efficiency.
