Windows comes with built-in antivirus and threat protection, but how do we know if it's working? Regularly checking the security status of your computer will give you peace of mind and allow you to use your computer more confidently.
Try following these simple steps to see if your computer is still in good health.
1. Press the Start button (window icon) at the bottom left corner of the screen
2. Type the words “Windows Security” or “Windows Safety” and then press Enter to open the application
3. When the window opens, observe the first page, where there will be a list of various protections displayed.
4. If everything is normal, you will see a green check mark ✅ in front of each item, which means the protection system is working.
5. But if you see a yellow warning sign ⚠️ or a red cross ❌, it means there is something the system wants us to handle. Try clicking to see the basic instructions.
Regularly checking these statuses will help you identify problems quickly and fix them promptly. But above all, always backing up important data externally is the best way to prevent damage. If you are unsure about any warnings you encounter, you should consult the IT department or an expert for safety.
